The truth is: I am awesome at planning and starting. But when it comes to finishing projects or completing goals, I have struggled to stay focused.
I'm what I like to call a "free-spirited nerd". A total numbers geek, I can budget for an entire year in a 30-45 minute sitting!
But I get distracted from my goals by things. In the past, cars have been my vice. I loooove trading cars. I hate paying them off apparently.
So I'm now on a journey to pay off our debt and relocate my family to Florida in 2020.
But I still haven't explained what a Perfection Hangover is, have I?
You know that unnecessary pressure you (and others) put on yourself to be everything to everyone? I think to an extent, we all carry this trait.
When I finally started letting go of perfection, I was able to get more done.
I became more organized.
I started saving and paying off more debt.
I started eating healthier and working out more.
I started this blog and a YouTube channel (which I'm still ironing out the rough spots), but I DID it!
Without hesitation, I hit publish and I showed up and I started working towards goals that have always been there but have never been attained.
I am overcoming my Perfection Hangover...one day at a time.
And I hope to encourage you through your own Perfection Hangover! Let go of perfection and let's do this!
